Since 1857, "The Bowl Mill" (aka Granville Manufacturing Company) has been producing one piece hardwood bowls... a staple of Americana. Utilizing modern technology and machinery of the 19th century, the processes developed and improved by the company maximize the utility, beauty and strength of the raw material, while minimizing and recycling the waste. Each bowl inherits the unique grain of each tree which contains a history of weather, climate and soil conditions experienced during its growth cycle. The bowls are finished with a mineral oil--the best finish for use in your kitchen.
This iconic Vermont-made, wooden bowl is great for tossing salad and holding fruit. What we like best is simply admiring its knots and rings, and wondering about the story of the tree from which it was made.
