Kamenoco Tawashi Cleaning Brush
SKU: 11476
$11.00

This sturdy all-purpose scrubbing brush has been around for over 100 years and it’s easy to see why. 100% natural palm fibers are tightly wound into a curved shape that fits comfortably into the hand. A wire hook makes for handy storage and drying. Not only good for scrubbing root vegetables, it’s great for cleaning cast iron or earthenware cookware or even washing bathtubs. Made in Tokyo, Japan.

Designer Seizaemon Nishio first invented a doormat made from palm fiber. When he noticed his wife using leftover scraps of the fiber as a cleaning tool, he developed this scrubber for her.  The word tawashi refers to a turtle –  its rounded shape, love of water and longevity. Makes sense!
