Legendary Finnish designer Kaj Franck was inspired by chiming church bells in Greece when creating his Ateenan Aamu ornaments. Translated from Finnish, "Morning in Athens" includes two glass ornaments, reminiscent of icicles, although Franck was reminded of Athens because when the pieces gently touched, they produced a delicate chiming sound. These are beautiful on a Christmas tree, but also lovely year-round hanging in a window or on a mantle. Hanging ribbon included. Set of two ornaments packaged in a gift box.
iittala is a Finnish company dedicated to creating functional objects designed to enrich people’s lives. Producing glassware since the 1880s, their tradition of excellence endures. In their words, “We don’t just create beautiful objects. We believe in timeless design that will never be thrown away.” We couldn’t agree more.
