Kivet Tray
SKU: 17825
$35.00

We love this tray for a snack and cup of coffee, or to corral loose change and keys by the door. Likely inspired by round rocks found near her home, Maija Isola designed the kivet pattern after cutting out circular shapes using scissors to achieve distinctive, irregular edges. This colorway features very dark green and white. Made in Sweden.

Founded in 1951 by visionary Finnish textile designer Armi Raitia and her husband, Viljo, Marimekko grew from a small textile-printing firm into an international phenomenon. From its beginnings as a textile design company, Marimekko (meaning “Mary’s dress”) branched out into everything from toys to dinnerware to architecture, becoming something of a lifestyle brand in the 1960s and 70s. The company’s outstanding designers revolutionized modern printed fabrics and fashion. Today the company continues to collaborate with young artists, encouraging experimentation. The result is spirited, non-traditional patterns and vivid colors.
