Silmalasi Kukkaro Kivet Purse
SKU: 20003
$25.00

This charming, multipurpose purse is great for holding sunnies, cosmetics, pens & pencils and other small items often lost in your larger bag. The purse features Maija Isola’s Kivet (stones) pattern, inspired by the rough-edged stones found outside the designer’s studio and reinterpreted by cutting circles with scissors. Machine wash cold, line dry. Made in Finland.

Founded in 1951 by visionary Finnish textile designer Armi Raitia and her husband, Viljo, Marimekko grew from a small textile-printing firm into an international phenomenon. From its beginnings as a textile design company, Marimekko (meaning “Mary’s dress”) branched out into everything from toys to dinnerware to architecture, becoming something of a lifestyle brand in the 1960s and 70s. The company’s outstanding designers revolutionized modern printed fabrics and fashion. Today the company continues to collaborate with young artists, encouraging experimentation. The result is spirited, non-traditional patterns and vivid colors.
