Todai Notebook

Enjoy this slim notebook to write letters in the waves. The door is an index page with a nautical chart as a motif. For the cover paper, a textured paper is use to evoke the outer wall of the lighthouse. Choose Day or Night. Sold individually. Made in Japan.

Day: In the first half and the second half of the notebook, the design is slightly changed to express the passage of time. Made with lined writing paper from Life Stationery brand for a smooth feel. The motif on the back cover is related to the lighthouse such as weathercock and seagull. 

Night: Halftone color silver is used for the lined body paper... a color kraft paper that is hard to see through and has a calm texture. Light gray with the image of night. You can write beautifully with colored ink. In addition, the front cover of the night expresses the light by stamping the foil. The motif of the back cover is related to the lighthouse such as Fresnel lenses and light bulbs.

Kyupodo products are letterpress printed in Kyoto, Japan. Kyupodo is well known for producing "a little mysterious" miscellaneous paper goods informed by story and imagination. Out-of-use letterpress printing machines and typefaces are signature.
