Japanese Mortar & Pestle

Made in Nerima, Japan, this hand thrown mortar bowl features a lightly speckled hiwa glaze in celadon green with unglazed interior walls, finely ridged for grinding seeds and spices. Paired with a hinoki wood pestle, naturally antibacterial and fragrant, with cording to hang. Lovely and functional. Hand wash. Made in Japan.
