The Higonokami knife dates back to 1896, originating in Miki, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. Hand-made, each blade bears the metalsmith’s mark. A non-locking, friction-folding knife, the carbon blade will not open until pressure is applied to the casing’s clever lever. The Higonokami also has a V-shaped double-edged blade for superior functionality: both right-handed and left-handed people can easily use this knife. Made in Japan.
