Tiiliskivi Table Runner
SKU: 075886-810
$73.00

Spruce up your table with this beautiful runner featuring the Tiiliskivi (brick) pattern, printed in Helsinki. Marimekko founder Armi Ratia designed this pattern in 1954. Here is appears in chestnut brown with off-white lines. Machine wash warm, air dry.

Runners are cut using the whole width of the fabric, and therefore their appearance may vary. Each item is unique. Unbleached fabrics, as well as fabrics containing recycled fibers, have a natural lively color and surface where small different colored areas may appear.

Founded in 1951 by visionary Finnish textile designer Armi Raitia and her husband, Viljo, Marimekko grew from a small textile-printing firm into an international phenomenon. From its beginnings as a textile design company, Marimekko (meaning "Mary's dress") branched out into everything from toys to dinnerware to architecture, becoming something of a lifestyle brand in the 1960s and 70s. The company's outstanding designers revolutionized modern printed fabrics and fashion. Today the company continues to collaborate with young artists, encouraging experimentation. The result is spirited, non-traditional patterns and vivid colors.
