May Events - Lots Happening Downtown!

May is jam packed with fun events! Save the dates for Children's Art Walk, Wine Walk, and WWU Industrial Design's ReMade opening reception.  
Friday, May 2 is Children's Art Walk. We'll be open til 8pm featuring papier mache birds from Ms. Bruntil's 5th graders at Harmony Elementary. It's always a fun and festive evening - come downtown to stroll and enjoy artwork by hundreds of Whatcom County students!
Join us next Friday, May 9 for Bellingham's annual spring Wine Walk. During this self-guided wine tasting event, attendees can stroll downtown and visit 21 participating businesses, each of which is hosting a winery. Enjoy tastes, chat with the winemakers as they pour, and enjoy the happy downtown vibe. Tickets are nearly sold out so get yours today! We're happy to be hosting Rider Cellars from Prosser, WA. Bonus - during wine walk you can enter to win a beautiful wine rack from Alessi!
And SAVE THE DATE because ReMade is back! This beloved showcase of WWU Industrial Design student work will open Friday, May 30. We had our first meeting with students this week and we're so excited to see how their designs develop over the next few weeks. ReMade is an annual assignment where students are tasked with designing and manufacturing products made primarily from recycled materials. Ideal hosts the reception and offers the pieces for sale for a limited time. We've been hosting since 2008 and they always amaze us with their ingenuity. Stay tuned for more details!
